I transferred money into one of the nominated bank accounts using the provided references for recharging my wallet, what will happen to the money?

We will top up your wallet with the new amount you deposited, please allow for 60 minutes for your new balance to be updated.

I transferred money into one of the nominated bank accounts but my wallet never got recharged

It is possible that we could not associate the reference number you used to any client account in our system and the money is sitting in our suspense account. Please email support@digitoken.africa or contact our contact center and quote the reference number used in your transfer and one of our friendly agents will assist you

I tried to purchase a token via credit card and money was reserved but I could not get my service generated or delivered

It is also possible that we received the money but there was a technical issue with generating the token. We do our best to avoid having any of these issued but in the unlikely event of these happening, please contact us and let us know. If you make use of a wallet and we picked up a technical fault, we will automatically credit your wallet and let you know of the problem with generating your token. You may try again at a later stage or contact us to assist you with this service. Please email support@digitoken.africa or contact our contact center and quote the reference number used in your transfer and one of our friendly agents will assist you.

I am interested in signing up as a DigiToken agent to sell electricity to my community

Please download the digiToken app from the app stores to complete the sign up process. If you experience any challenges, please contact us on support@digitoken.africa, detailing your interest to become an Agent of digiToken and the area you would like to service.

I am interested in signing up as a DigiToken SubAgent to sell electricity to my community

Signing up as a SubAgent is a process that is managed by the DigiToken Agents. Please contact us on support@digitoken.africa, to get a list of Agents in your area or contact our contact center.

I have a balance on my wallet, can I redeem this balance for cash?

This is not possible as the wallet can only be used to purchase services offered on the DigiToken platform. Please ensure that you only transfer the amount of money you will be using for the services on DigiToken

How do I Top up my wallet?

There are two methods to top up your wallet.

  • Make a transfer to our nominated bank accounts across FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA, Capitec and Nedbank. South African ID holders must use their South African ID number as a reference. Non-South African ID holders must use their Passport Number as a reference.
  • Use your credit car to do a top up inside the digiToken app
